Purchasing Coordinator

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Generate purchase orders and purchase agreements;
  • Monitor and track open orders;
  • Verify shipping documents;
  • Communicate with customs broker to ensure shipments are cleared in a timely manner;
  • Coordinate specific ingredient & premix deliveries to/from internal facilities and offsite locations;
  • Provide direct support to Supply Chain and Purchasing Team;
  • Investigate discrepancies between bills of Lading and vendor Invoices;
  • Review inventory count sheets, variances and reconcile data;
  • Actively participates in monthly ingredient and inventory-related meetings;
  • Run daily procurement reports and reconcile discrepancies


  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in customer service, purchasing, sales or supply chain;
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must be detail conscious while maintaining a high degree of accuracy;
  • Proven organizational, planning and prioritizing skills with the ability to adhere to strict timelines;
  • Well-developed computer skills (Microsoft Office programs), database management and a strong mathematical aptitude;
  • Team player with the ability to work well with co-workers and staff members from other departments;
  • Experience with MRP/ERP system is considered an asset
