October 28, 2019 (St. Marys, ON) – Trouw Nutrition Canada (Shur-Gain) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Yantzi Feed & Seed Ltd., based in Tavistock, ON. The change in ownership is effective November 1, 2019.

The purchase includes the feed manufacturing, grain storage, crop input facility and retail store in Tavistock, the grain elevator on Line 29 North East of Tavistock and the retail store and crop input business in Brunner. Shur-Gain is currently evaluating options for the crop input and seed aspects of the business and will be setting a direction in the coming months.

“Yantzi Feed & Seed Ltd. has been a very loyal Shur-Gain dealer since our establishment in 1958,” says Steve Yantzi, President of Yantzi Feed & Seed Ltd. “Our family has discussed several options for the business and we feel that the best fit for us and our customers is to become a part of Shur-Gain.”
