Creating More Value Together

Our history in Canada begins in 1937 when Shur-Gain was founded and introduced under Canada Packers. Since then, there have been a series of acquisitions and additions of new facilities to support the growth of our operation. In 2007, Shur-Gain and Landmark Feeds joined Nutreco’s global animal nutrition division that employs 12,000 professionals in 35 countries. In 2017, Trouw Nutrition Canada Inc. was formed following the integration of Shur-Gain, Landmark Feeds, recently acquired Hi-Pro Feeds, and Nutreco’s combined animal nutrition businesses in Canada. In Canada, we currently employ 1, 450 employees coast-to-coast.
